Tonight is supposed to get down to 33 degrees here with scattered frost. The water temps in home lake is still in the low to mid 60's as of yesterday. We were out fishing on the boat, the lake was warmer than the air! It felt good to put your hands in the water to release a fish.Temps are supposed to be down in the 40's and 30 for the next week. There saying that this winter is going to be harsh in this area. Many believe in this area that if there is a large acorn mast, and the leaves on the trees stay out longer, it means, a mean winter is in ahead, and its is natures way of providing food to animals before hand. Even the meteroligist are predicting a harsh winter. Just hope we fishable ice by December, last year was a little later than usual.

We had our first freeze on Oct. 1st in Bismarck, ND.  Got to about 24 and last night hit about 21 degrees.  Suppose to be 80 degrees tomorrow though so go figure.  70's here for the high and lower 40's for the lows.  But it did freeze at least already!

We have had a couple nights where it briefly was below 32 fahrenheit. The mountains have already got up to 2 feet of snow in some areas, though it melted off. Can't wait for December, maybe late November this year for the first Mack lake to freeze.

First freeze I've had was last night. 27 F this morning and the dog's dish had ice in it. Central Maine.  This is a great time of year, but too much to do before winter.
