Ice fishing is incredibly popular in Korea. While many have adopted modern rods and reels, traditional gyeonji rods are still widely employed by Korean ice anglers. Developed several centuries ago these basic rods are remarkably efficient and still fun to use.

I think frabill had some older rods made in Korea with finger cutouts so you can feel the blank. I've had 2 one 16 in and now a 24 in. One the 16 had a retractable spring bobber on it.
