Do it with lakers, not trying to pull a prank, I just release them all. When the guys fishing next to me who kept their 21" laker freak out when I send a 29"er down the hole, that's the funniest thing!

My brother gets in a huff sometimes when I toss back 9-10'' crappies. I just like to keep the occaisional 10'' and over fish; my theory being if you realease a bunch of 7.5- 10'' crappie, they will be nice fish the following year if they survive. Try to use the same limit for perch too; that gets some looks as well. When they are really on (which is rare) I'll often release the bigger ones which draws those amazed looks. Duh, is dat guy crazy?
