got out to elwood this morning ice still good 8-10 in.  caught a few gill while trying out my new ice-45 (1st time flasher owner) so i was messing with it more so than fishing still open water in front of the dam also noticed a couple of shanty's along dam of johnson lake

That has been the story all season with the ice at Elwood. The water is up about eight feet from last year and with all the open water it has been slow, but when you do land something they have been pretty nice.
