I'm thinking that the last good ice is this weekend. The forecast looks bad. Get out and hit it good and hard. People are talking about not having so much ice right now. I have some tips for those people. Just as the smaller lakes freeze faster they also thaw faster. Look to some mid sized lakes with little or no current. They will be the ones that have retained the most ice during the ups and downs. 5" or more on most. Those small ponds are dangerous as are the lakes with current at this point. good luck.
