cant say anything brand specific for strikemaster, but I have an electric auger (juffy lectric) and frikin love it, I use the same battery I use in the summer for my trolling motor, keep your blades and point sharp and I have gone three full days of ice fishing without recharging it and it never slowed down. three days of 2-3 people fishing with 5 traps each, 30-40 holes on one charge, aint bad. it's an 8 inch and the electric motor packs plenty of power, its never bogged down, even in winni through what must have been 1 1/2-2 feet of ice.

quiet, clean, cheaper on the long run, I give the electric ones two thumbs up

Thanks for the info my concern was that the ultra cold of the batteries would slow every thing down and not work as well.

Go to our sponsors link on top of the page. In all respects, except for bit size, Icegator blows those other guys off of the ice!
