Expert Ice Fishing Video

How many of you guys watch Grumpy Old Men to refresh your ice fishing techniques? I am about ready to pull my copy out, and make sure my notes are caught up. I learn something new every time I watch it. 8)

well i dont know how much i learn but i never pass on an opportunity to watch GOM. Great movie with icefishing in it what more could you ask for?

What was the name of that movie that was made recently on Houghton Lake?  Can't remember the entire story line but I think it was about some fella who was relentlessly chasing some huge pike.  Anyone know this movie?

It was Frozen Stupid

Not of the quality of GOM but an ice fishin movie nonetheless. LOL

But it was nice to see local scenes in a movie.

You cant expect movies to measure up to classics like GOM. If that were true, wimmen would all be measuring mankind by the yardstick set by my good friend, Thunderwang Jones.

I like GOM. The shanty's look really really neat. And the techniques they use ring true.

This is a great post!! I have often told my wife that I someday aspire to be like the guy on "grumpy old men" (I've got the ornery part down pat! It's the 65 and retired that I'm struggling with )

yes, a tip down. I saw it on another thread and want one, but they are not for sale as far as I can see. These are the times I wish I was handy with tools so I could build one.

Otherwise no, I pretty much have everything else covered. As I have probably established - I am an ice fishing equipment junkie and proud of it.
