My brother got a pair of battery operated (electric?) socks once for Christmas quite a few years back. They were terrible. They had a little metal bar that went across the toes and the damn thing got so hot that it burnt. I don't know what the brand name was, but if you're gonna get a pair you might want to see if you can test them out somehow first.

good-luck

YB

I have a pair that work pretty good. They are the style for wearing while wading. The wires are long and you can keep the battery pack in a pants pocket. It's easy to turn on and off when needed.

Hole Driller - Buy a pair  of Mickey Mouse boots and you won't need electric socks. All I wear is a pair of white cotton socks and my feet are toasty warm all day.
