Got to a spot on the river after catchin a limit of perch today, caught my very first walleye ever, 25" and 5.8lbs!!!

5 1/2 Pounds for your first Walleye....why wasn't I ever that lucky ?? Its like the 14 year old kid who borrows his buddies shotgun...wear blue jeans and a red flannel shirt with a borrowed orange hat....sits in his buddies treestand...and kills a 250" Non-Typical Whitetail that walked by 10 yards away....But anyways....seriously congrats on a great fish. Walleye are up towards the top of my favorite species to target/catch. I used to do a ton of bass fishing..but the past 5 years or so I have drifted over to more walleye fishing. I love catching them...and I definitely don't mind eating them. Now go get a bigger one !!
