been meaning to try and catch one from the kayak but the boat always calls my name
I've never had a boat to whisper sweet and softly to me. Maybe next year.
I am very happy I picked up the yak though. Quite a bit more then I initially wanted to spend but so worth it. I got the ATAK 120 and have my helix 5 GPS chirp in it. Picked up some accessories so go with it as well.
I took my 6 year old daughter out last month in it and it worked great. I had her side in the front and use the hatch as back rest so we were looking at each other. She jigged and I flipped baits. Going to be rigging up a small troller with foot controls this winter.
I think when you buy something like this you often buy into a community. So far anyone i meet on the water in a yak are very friendly and willing to assist. I also saved a boat after they launched it but the rope they had wasn't tied off to the boat. soooo that was funny. Me kayaking and towing a boat with no one in it for about 50 yards.
