Advise to all owner of st.croix ice fishing pole with spring.  I learned a list from tangle the line on spring from windy or twist the line give me hard time to get it out  Decided the nail hardness put the spring both front and back to cover to prevent the line tangle next your trip ....

What you asking for the reel Don?

On a side not here...............any one have any idea why these are on sale.  I have used these rods for years and have never seen them on sale.  Is Croix coming out with something new and hot next year or was this simply over production.

I actually called st croix and asked some questions about the rods and one of them was why they were so cheap now.....  and the guy told me that they were pretty much clearing house to make room for the 2013 rods.  he did not say if there was going to be a new model or not but he said they did not want any of the ones they had left in stock.  if you look at the premiers the ones they have pictured now have a blue colored rod....  when the old ones are black.

Bigbuck,  With all due respect,  I think you're defeating the purpose of the adjustable spring by coating it with nail polish.The farther out you have the spring pulled, the more sensitive it is, so you can set it to the weight of the jig your using. ( farther out for lighter, farther in for heavier)
