Oh Crappie Day
« on: Mar 29, 2015, 04:27 PM »
Just got back from Colorado Last Night and I couldn't wait to the ice !
Temperature all week in the 60' and 70's . Way above normal for that
part of the country . Hit Massy at eight and although the bite was slow I
picked up a couple of pigs.. Ice still around 10" . Anyway I was surprised
only a few diehards were out there. I'll post another pic later . I have one
at 15" . Look at beer can for comparision. The smaller ones kept because
of gut bites and end of season. Shouda moved the ruler over to the right
anyway 3 pigs made the day! Might get out a few more times after work!

Thank's

This is the time of year when they get very aggressive .
I actually caught the biggest two in a matter of 10 min apart.
Using shiners and fishing around 5ft off the bottom in 30ft of water.
Slow and steady !  It was either massy for crappies or winni  for whites .
