I'm not from there, but I fish all the lakes in that area (Coldwater Chain, Randall Chain, George, Lavine, Silver, Gilead, Union)

I've heard of a few people out on Union lake in the coves, and a friend saw a couple of guys standing out on the ice at the narrows but I havn't been out yet myself.  I'm planning on checking this week depending on how deer season goes :)

Is there a Tip-Up carnival this year in Quicy???  Used to go as a kid and had a blast every year.. Went over last few years (when we actually had ice) and didnt seem like much going on..

went last year and had a blast. canceled the snow mobile races but the contest went on. :tipup:

The Tip up festival has not updated anything on the web that I can find...it's usually the second weekend in February.   I hope they have it I won second place in the pike catagory last year with a 39" northern.....won 40 dollars, had fun and got a nice button.
