Haven't found a Moral yet...    And I let a dozen go last year so they could repolenate...

 My boys and a couple of thier buddies found just over 12 lbs after baseball practice on tuesday night. Local grocery buys them for about 29$ a pound, not a bad payday for the kids.

I did the same thing last year. This year, we got quite a few Morels. They are selling for $20 lb up here!!! My wife cooked them up with some wild asparagus and served with Crappie!

Take a potato sack if you can next time you go hunting for morels. The potato sack allows for the spores to fall to the ground while the morels rustle around in the sack. Since spores are what mushrooms originate from, this  method preserves morel hunting grounds for years to come.

Ive used an union sack and then finally started using a mesh laundry bag.  Of course this year I could carry them out with my hands..timing was just not right

Found a whole whopping 8 shrooms this year. 3 of which, were in my front yard,  4 steps away from my porch..

 I had to go out about 2 weeks early for them.i found about the same as last year which wasnt to many but enough.plus the whites were popping way before the bugs were out.

I actually did very well in SW Mich this year. Found good #s of greys early, then a lot of 6-9" blondes.

Just about fell out of chair laughing at the "moral" part. I had no morals back then And thinking about it they did not either I never let one go though

mushrooms are morels.  Oh a good laugh was good for me.   Steve
