Has anyone seen if Lake of Isles, Eel Bay, South Bay, or anything around Wellesley Island has good ice yet?

Never heard of a tagged northern.

Finally got on some ice today...first spot I made the responsible decision of not fishing with 3" of ice and found 4-5" at my second choice. Although I never had a flag for the two hours, while  I was out this morning. Was nice to get out though. Winter should be here to stay!!

Nice catch ,  never seen a tagged pike .... Chippawa bay fish and game club is the only place around that stocks pike as far as I know  ....

I have seen northerns with lip tags before caught around the bay during the summer. Is there anything in regards to a way to call it in?

Hey all! New here and new to ice fishing. I have a trip planned for this coming weekend January 25th to go out on Fourth Lake from our family cabin in Eagle Bay. I’ll be mostly jigging without electronics and I’m hoping to get a few smelt to run on my 3 tip-ups. Is anyone familiar with this lake and could offer pointers?

Hey Jake,
Many years ago we did well east of Eagle Bay where there are some small rock cliffs that meet the water on the north shore.  Smelt and perch and lakers.
Haven't fished 4th since I moved to the Finger Lakes.
Good luck!

Tag was from u.s fish and wildlife. Called it in. It was a by-catch from a musky trap 2 years ago. No money no earth shattering info about the fish.

Be careful a guy went through on Mirror this week.  We have had a few cold days lately but it’s above freezing and rainy here now. Here is the link to the article.

Had to keep one of the two lakers. Really choked on the treble. Wouldn't have survived. Going to try a new recipe. Fishing is picking up
