I guess it is finally March !!

Last night got out of work and got to Winni around 6 pm. Walked 30 minutes to fish. First Hole just some yellows messing around. Second hole five nice whites. Screen filled eight feet off bottom when they came up for the Pinhead. That school moved on. Picked a couple up at another hole. Then found them again. Snapped my line with the first fish on the ice. Switched to a blade spoon while trying to retie the pinhead in the dark. Got four more. 12 nice whites in about an hour. Then walked back in the dark. Cant we just extend the season a few weeks? LOL (Havent found them that aggressive all winter. Still took a little coaxing but they hit hard.

Nice,usually they quit when it gets dark..that's a good haul in a short time

Thanks Joe. Ive done quite well the last two times I went just before dark.First time 6 this time 12...It's a nice experience with mostly no one around. Under the stars, moon etc... like your night fishing for stripers..last time saw two bald eagles...

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Northern Maine just voted to extend their ice season.

I hear that. My boy is almost 2 1/2  and i made it out quite a bit this season. Fish a day, hang with him the next. Took him out 3 days ago and he would not let go of the rod.   Next year he will be out with me.
