A fine day for slaying on our 1st ice trip. We iced 5, smallest of which was 20.5". Lost 5 same size. Various baits/ lures were utilized.

Sweet! Looks like you found some good sized ones. I heard guys were catching mostly smaller ones, and edges were gettin soft. I might avoid the SP circus this weekend and stick to open water at you know where.

I was there beside Slayer too, and caught some eight inchers, didn't have the Slayer touch. So my group headed to anterio ho barr northsouthwest and caught limits of 17 inchers. Would have preferred the big ones ;D

You guys put some miles on the road hitting different spots

Slayer, I was there today too, near south end of dam in a red tent. Only iced 1 16" bow from 7am-2pm. Had at least a dozen bites but they were fast and light bites. There were only 3 guys near me, did that happen to be you?

If you ever saw Slayer's fishing technique in action, you'd come to understand how he gets those results. Still makes my head spin.

I went back today. Stayed at the same lake instead of the one with unlimited 17 inchers. Felt like Slayer. Landed 5, well 3, and my daughter 2. Missed a lot of fish. Fish on the left are from slayers lake. Fish on right are 16 and 17 inchers. 45 degrees and 15 mph wind all day. Ice took a beating

Looks like you had a great day, and awesome to see you got your daughter on the ice with you! I hope I can get mine out with me this year. I promised them we'll use my heated popup and make hot soup for lunch. Makes it more desireable. ;D

Mine kept asking for us to setup the hut too...but it was 45 degrees....I kept trying to distract her so she would forget 😁
