Bait Shop near maranacook

I'm looking for a baitshop on my way from Litchfield to the south end (winthrop) of Maranacook. Anyone know of any?

There is a baitshop on rte 133 in winthrop, right where rte 41 goes straight and you veer left to stay on 133, heading towards wayne, its on the right at the top of the hill. Its called bakers dozen baitshop. I was just there tonight, real nice guy that owns it. He had a good selection of shiners, im pretty sure he had smelts and suckers too. good luck.

There's a great bait shop on little cobbossee ave in east winthrop near the old cobbossee cash market.  not too far from maranacook.

there is a guy thats selling it out of his garage on route 126, the bait isn't the best but its $6 a dozen for smelts instead of the usual 7

ended up going to the shop next to the old cobbossee cash market, didn't help much, got skunked

thats where we had bait from also but didn't get skunked. vern's a great guy though huh?

yeah he gave me 5 free smelts. Ill deffinitely be going back there if I head to Maranacook again

 Mtahyky - Im pretty sure all the fish in marranacook go to sleep all winter long, fished it the other weekend for  about 17 hrs between sat and sunday and ended up with no flags. went out sunday and just jigged in a spot i no there are some fish and not even a hit. its a funny lake.

Ya i fished it with mtahky saturday not one flag. I really thought we would get into some fish

This was a HOT lake up thru 2005-2006.  Started to tail off in 2007.  Back in the good times, we had days when we'd catch 11 togue in an hour.  Nice memories......but that doesn't make it any easier out there right now.
