Putting walleye into Rock lake sure ruined the jumbo perch fishing so I agree with you.  First the jumbo (&all) perch went downhill, then the pike went down for a little while too; probably due to the fact their main food source they were used to werent there anymore. It ruined Rock as far as I'm concerned.
I don't get why they do it when a lake already has a healthy population of other species that fishermen love to target.

Every body of water it seems get's the walleye's ? White Mouth Lake was a awesome Pike lake....  true monsters ! and the suckers most likely made up the better part of that diet .........then came the walleye ! Sure they were plentiful  but two predators in the same body of water destroyed it ! Better would have been to introduce perch or crappie , with the volume of shrimp in that lake they would have grown to Jumbo sizes  and also offered a bait fish for both the pike and the now present walleye ................makes absolutely no sense !
