New cabin is going up at our lodge- Wekusko Falls Lodge.  40x26 and fully wheel chair accessible (our plan is to do some wounded warrior bear hunts).  It is my parents 2 month a year cabin, and we rent it out the rest of the year.  But due to some framing mistakes I had to spend the afternoon fixing doorways to accommodate 36" doors, instead of finishing electrical.  SO tomorrow is get the sleds out finally and gear ready, and head out early monday morning onto wekusko lake.  Expecting 30 eyes by noon……seriously.   And then (if my new baby allows) to reed mid week for lakers.

Well- 26" eye was the biggest I could muster up this late morning.  Not the best pictures as it was soooo cold…. just used my phone as a camera.  At Wekusko Falls Lodge.
My 26"

Father in Laws - 25"

Fished from 11-2 today, I landed 7 eyes, 1 perch, 1 tulibee, and 1 whitefish.  Lost 7.  8" of ice and slush galore.

I have never seen anyone fish there.  I have put some time there but to no success.  My dad lost a fish before we got it up, and I have marked perch.  The ice is very dangerous until the rv campground launch.  I have my own theories for there-- such as so much water flow/mixing that there might not be any water layering so maybe the temps are colder than in the lake.   I am just not sure what to think, I thought for sure we could connect with the burbot there but even that hasn't happened yet.  Not sure what to think!

Nice,  My dad just phoned and asked if I have made it out there.  I got an awesome early season spot on there, lasts till about Feb then I don't know where they consistently are….yet.  I hope to crack 30" again through the ice.

north west of the lodge.  Korman Lake.  My hope is that the government recognizes this lake as an important fishery and continues to stock it, got my doubts though…….

Nice fish Drift Dodger.  My wife is looking to catch a 28" Walleye.  I told her if she lands a master walleye I'd shave my beard.  It's a safe bet cause none of my family has caught a master threw the ice!

It is never a safe bet to risk a beard for anything lol. I predict now that you have the beard on the line (and you have jinxed it by saying it is a safe bet) this will be the year.
Let me know what size master she ends up catching  ;D
