Rattle reel recommendations? Auto jiggers?
« on: Nov 20, 2023, 07:59 AM »
Hello all,

I've got a new fish house on order for which they are close to doing a walk-thru on the internal configuration, such as wiring.  I need to figure out my rattle reel set up.  I have had the old standard wood ones with bells in them historically.  I have been looking at rattle snake reels from either Rapala or Catch Cover, but that is without any auto jiggers taken into consideration.  I'm curious about the pros and cons of the jiggers, especially for what I'm finding for the price.  I have found two brands, Lindell and Smartjig.  I need to decide asap if I'm going to have wires run for these in the house.  I'm also concerned about noise.  I really only want the auto-jiggers for overnight while we are sleeping.  If they are loud then I would forgo them.  Feedback and recommendations on all things rattle reels and jiggers welcome!

Might want to try posting that question on the general board. It sees much more traffic.
