I must be a gadget buyer.  I do need the underwater camera and GPS yet.  I don't like strike sensors a whole lot and don't tipup fish enough to consider them.  I never knew a guy with a portable shack and gas auger had an unlimited budget  lol.

Those are some good basic lists....even though you only mentioned JIGS once. ::)

I also carry a whistle and a pair of those orange hand spikes in case I (or someone else) falls in. Good safety equipment ;)

No matter what your budget is you should have rope, ice picks, ice cleats. Also stash a set of clothes behind your seat just in case.Driving home wet stinks.Been there done that.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an  well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, A fishing pole in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming \"WOO HOO, what a ride!

Big budget requires a like form of transportation, 4x4 pickup to haul an enclosed trailer, containing a snowmobile or ATV to haul the trailer that doubles as hardside shack with all of the amenities mentioned earlier!!! ;) ;D

Minnesota has something made by Phillips better than blackberry brandy- Snowshoe Grog. Its half brandy, half peppermint schnapps. Warms you up fast.

Some plastic shopping bags, like those from Wal-Mart....

Good for putting fish in, your trash, the trash the other bozo left on the ice,
and they make a good liner for the 5 gallon pail - like when you need to take
a dump (please dispose of bag contents properly). They take little room.

I keep some in my ice gear and softwater gear.
