I was Bored so I made an 8 Inch Perch Decoy to Hopefully Attract the Record PIKE!

nice but your going to want to use to sets of glide fins the back needs to be higher then the first on an 8" decoys it going to rock like crazy with one set of fins.

Smooth is always better, fish shy away from rocking for some reason.

Ok never made one this big I usually make decoys to bring in Perch cause we can spear Perch here on Lake St. Clair.

It sits perfect at rest. When I try to work it it doesn't spin it just sinks slow.

Is it that I need the back fins or a little more forward weight?

Or something else?

A good worker will sink slow and forward. Ya it sounds like you need a little front weight or you can add and extra eyelit in the front more, that will shoot it forward but it will also drop the tail a little at rest

You need back fins and then some head weight the bring the tail back to level, fine tine the head weight so you got the forward movement on the drop.
