I just started carving my first decoy in May 2010. I love making them. My buddy used one of my red and whites when I was with him yesterday and he stabbed a 4 lber.

It's amazing what you can make when you have true artistic talents, I make decoys my self and I like them and so do the pike but they don't look half as good has yours, so to that I say NICE JOB  .......... Do you use them or are they just for show  ???

I use some red and whie ones for spearing that I made. I do use the red and white and the perch one in the photos. Some of the others are for the shelf and competitions. The competition ones are still judged on how they swim too.

I use the red and white decoys in this pic and the perch for spearing.

Tank tested tank approved.  I actually don't have this particular decoy on me.  I snapped the picture at my grandpas house I just liked it.  It was actually 24 inches long.  We were talking about how fun it would be to put down the hole just to watch.  His basement is awesome!  Hundreds of decoys of all types.  I am going to have to take a picture of the room!  Its a spearers paridise.
