What is the preferred size jig for panfish. I personally like 4mm.

The only ice fishing jig you need is Bros bloodworm jig! this jig stays on one pole all year. Ive caught everything on this jig. Size really depends on what you are after.

Have anyone tried Eagle Claw 1/16oz jig head? In the summer, I always use 1/8oz jig head fishing for panfish with soft plastic alone the bank. It works extremely well. I guess 1/8oz probably too large for ice fishing. Would 1/16oz jig head a budget saver over tungsten jig?

We use 1/16oz chekai tungsten jigs. Sink fast and have no issues with them. Catch just about everything on them! Paint is solid as well.

Size is relative to situation. My Schooley rig with 4# test and a sz. 8 horizontal, fished dead stick will sometimes badly out fish my best jigging efforts; especially on gills when they are negative, and or it's very shallow. It pays to be flexible no matter what kind of fishing you do.

Yes Bros bloodworm by northland. must be red in color as are real bloodworms. Bloodworms will be found in soft silty areas of a lake . Sometimes stirring up the silt will stir up bloodworms which may start a feeding frenzy lol

Tear drops with UV epoxy "warts" on them seem to really get the fish grabby in my experience, also agree with the exaggerated eyes on them. I usually use a 4-5 mill for about all applications

4-5mm
3mm shallow water, under 8ft.

What’s more important is line diam. And the suppleness in cold temps.
