Most likely there isn't any safe ice in the usual snow belt areas. I quit a couple days ago on Tamarack due to it melting away on top. It has rained since then to boot. The heavy snows in December prevented the lakes up this way from forming decent ice. Near as i can tell, you may find ice south of you, but i'd make sure first what you are walking on.........olds
