first time fishing hard water on this lake, can any one tell me a good place to pull out from?

Post by: Salty Ice Queen on Jan 20, 2022, 06:35 PM: Giant muskie and pike on the north end and south end has good pan fishing...but I did hear unless you know someone to get on the south end...the only access will be on the north end..something dealing with the docks..the north end had a skim of ice a few weeks ago.

Post by: pkevinb on Jan 21, 2022, 06:31 PM: Drove by the south end on Rt. 322 on my way home from work today and there were two people on the ice out from the docks/Silver Shores. There was no ice around the docks so I'm not sure how they got out there and can't report on the ice thickness

Also there was 6" of ice with at least 2" of white on top...caught 5 large bluegill,,and 2 pikes.
Also there was at least 3 foot of snow piled up around docks and shore line,..that blew off the lake to the south end..

I'd love to go out but don't get to Conneaut lake till about 5:15.

A few small crappie and perch,..1 small bluegill...then my vex went dead,..I even charged it last night...so,..I'll have to keep an eye on that...never had a problem before :'(

By tomorrow that flooded access will be not so safe...
South side ,..very crowded today..so we didn't stay...will wait for a week day.
