The anchors I use are sometimes hard to get started, but after putting alittle muscle into it, they go in easy!
The same is true on mine. But the way I look at it, the less time I spend Screwing around with them the more time I have to catch the big one!
This work best for me. Just use you auger and drill at least 2 holes (I do 4 hole when it is really windy) and set them down under the ice and tie off your house to it. Don't have to carry extra tools or have the ice break around the ice anchor.(Image removed from quote.)
Thats what we do. Just put something next to them- bait bucket- basket - whatever- works good.
