Tickle Stick Worth It?
« on: Dec 27, 2016, 02:34 PM »
Cabelas has these $10 off right now, the only issue is I know some guys had problems with the guides icing up and the tips breaking. Have they fixed these issues? I need another noodle or quick tip rod, but I also hole hop a ton. I am rarely ever in a shack. Would it be worth it to get this rod, or will I have too many issues when hole hopping? Thanks!

I love mine. The tips are fragile though. You have to be careful storing it.  I always slip my teardrop through the end eyes so it doesnt bend, or cut it off to store it. If you use rod socks you need to make sure it doesnt get stuck. Also no tying lines together. The knots can get stuck on the eye and cause it to snap. The tip used to ice up a lot worse on the first model because they were thicker and smaller. I'm seeing people with a lot of other options but you asked about this rod and I recommend it.
