Maybe I was just having a bad day at Lake John . :-[
That is if you can have a bad day of ice fishing.
Don't get me wrong we caught fish but it was slow, 4 bits all day caught 3.

one of my contacts in walden tells me that it's not real uncommon for bill at the lake john resort to make up the fishing reports to try and get people to stay up there.  i heard that when john winter killed a few years back that he was still telling people that the fishing was fair to get them up there. not a good way in my opinion of keeping customers.  i'll stick with my hotel contact up there, she is the best. gonna try cowdrey this weekend, course bill says that's fishing good also, so who knows.

My 1st post on here. Bill is definitely into twisting the truth to get people up there in hopes of bringing in business. Pretty sad but a lot of owners do that unfortunately. I always get reports from others to avoid bad info. Lake John has really been hit and miss the last few years. More often it seems like miss for us. We saw a lot of suckers while ice fishing there last winter and I think they may be overtaking the trout for food possibly.

i saw some pretty big suckers at east and south delaney this last weekend and last year, especially at the south lake.  don't know what they can do to keep them out of there. and those damn muskrats keep trying to come up the holes.
