Humminbird Smartstrike

Curious if anybody uses this on their boat or on the ice? I just picked up a chip for my helix nine. Looking forward to trying it out this year!

its intriguing.  i imagine, for lake fishing it will give you some more spots to key in on.  obviously, other conditions on those spots need to line up.  vegetation, baitfish, etc etc.

I know I'm really raising the dead with this one, but I figured I'd throw some info out that I just learned.  I recently bought a SmartStrike chip for my Helix 9, and learned that the SmartStrike application doesn't work quite right if you have a lakelevel offset entered.  The lake that I fish the most on has a -26' level offset.  When I type in the information for a SmartStrike search, all the highlighted spots end up on dry land....
