Stripped Bait

How can a fish just suck a minnow off a hook and not even knock the flag up. it was happening quite a bit yesterday. But did catch a lot of northerns too.

in MY experience, when fish are doing that, you are dealing with crappies...they just have an uncanny ability to suck the minnows right off the hook, without ever tripping the flag.  I'm told 'eyes to the same thing too.
