Caught this cisco last year on champlain...pretty small, but fought hard, and it was my FIRST cisco ever...everyone said they were delicious

anyways, just checking to make my photo posting skillz are still there. LOL.


can anyone see the cisco?

i caught these in 70' , suspended halfway in the water column...i was fishing for perch, and the happend to show up on my vex, so i raised my hali up to them, and fish on!

nothing like catching the first  of your most fav fish lol this year lance we are going to the real cisco/whitefish lake to catch a ton of them

We don't have those around here... but I hear they taste good.
if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.

i did a boneless, skinless fillet, and my relatives fried it, and said it was REALLY darn good, better than the perch i usually clean for them - and those were perch eating kinda people, too

On Lake Manitoba we catch a lot of them while fishing for perch.   We do either of 2 things with them - pickle them, just follow any pickelled herring recipe, (they're really good), or we freeze them, then next summer cut them into quarters for use as channel cat bait (they're really good for that, too).
