Can you believe it's been ten years since I got the idea to start a website dedicated to the great sport of ice fishing? We have grown from a few page site where you could email ice fishing tips in and get my local NE WI ice conditions/fishing report into this massive database of everything ice fishing. We are still growing in leaps and bounds every ice fishing season. Can you imagine the site in ten more years?

Well I havent been around for ten years ,but i have seen this site bursting at the seems since the day i signed up!! It was an incredible idea you had that i'm sure turned out to be so much more than you could have expected. Much like you, i never knew what a huge part of my life these sites would turn out to be. Every morning...every afternoon..every evening...if I wake in the middle of the night ...im browsing the forums. if i have time i love the morning rap session in chat and when ice comes evenings in the chat room are as good as sitting around the shanty!! I would like to thank you for your awesome creation we've all grown to love...my wife on the other hand is not so grateful ;D

Back when I started ice fishing, I had no idea what I was doing and once I found this site, and the endless pages of great information. I only got better and better every year. When I started catching and posting, more and more info would flood in my head, and I couldn't wait to get back out and try something new that I read off of here.
Then next thing ya know, I got Grump, PM'ing me and chating back a forth, next thing ye know Scott and Grump, hooked me up with a Moderator status for our great state of NY.
And I've always said, "if there is anything that I can help ya with don't be afraid to PM me and I'll see what I can do for ya." Ice fishing is awesome and with this site, it keeps ya glued to the computer to see that the next picture and what great topic pops up next. ;D

I would think thing's would peak out sometime but I don't think it will be for some time yet. I can't wait to see what this place will be in another 10 yrs. :o Keep up all the good work Scott and all the mod's :bow:

I made up some items at cafe press with the ten year logo on it. Not sure if I'll get around to getting anything done for items in the iceshanty direct proshop, it all depends on how many cafepress items I sell. If popular enough I may get black hoodies and embroidered caps done.

I found IS last year, and only wish I had found y'all sooner. It has helped me immensley on the ice and I can't wait until I get to meet more of you face to face. Thanks again Scott and mods. This place rocks!!!!!

As usual, a big you da man, Scott.... keep up the good work, I'd have to say I'm with Billditrite on how it became such a big part in my life... It may not be tomorrow or the next day but look for a new member for the militia and an order for some of the 10th anniversary gear.... Have to agree with all that's been said. This is great site and glad I found it. As a side note my son is going to start a web site on hunting and fishing and asked me if I could write something for it on ice fishing for someone who is just getting started. I told him it would only take a couple seconds and wrote on a piece of paper www.icesanty.com ;)2 ;)2

Great site Scott, I only joined last winter, and up until then I thought I knew how to fish the hard water. I learned more last year than I have my whole life of fishin hard water. also being retired helps. Now we just have to hope for better ice this year. See ya all on the lakes. Scott, thanks so much for creating a site where we all can come together and share just about anything as long as it is in good taste. This site is truly one of the best creations in the world, like duct tape and WD-40. Just imagine what our lives would be like without duct tape and IS :'( Whoa, I don't even want to go there :sick: I better go lay down for awhile. This is truly one of the top sites :thumbsup: out there that I visit frequently other than firehouse.com. Keep up the good work, we all owe you a huge thanks and a big hug, on the other hand my wife wishes this site never existed at all. Well that is until I come home with fresh fish for dinner.

Like the two guys say in the Guinness commercial....BRILLIAN T!!!!! I just got here, but I've been a fishing junky, and in particular a Hardwater addict for many moons, and the information I'm getting from you fellow addicts is off the scale of anything I've ever found before. One down-side, this site is more addictive than a Marlboro!!! The wife has just been shaking her head and laughing. Outstanding work, looking forward to seeing what this place is like when the season's in full swing................ :tipup:

Check out the members online at the bottom of the home page when you log on. When this baby gets swinging there can be 200-300 people logged in at any one time. Thats when you go nuts trying to figure out which thread you want to read next :cookoo:

Scott, I've been on here for 5 years, and this site has taken off from a handful of members then to more than I can count if I had 2000 hands. If it took 10 years to get this far, I can imagine that you'll have 30,000 loyal members in 10 more years. Each year, from my first one until now, has been a great source of info, knowledge, pride, and a resource to simply make friends including yourself. I can't wait to meet you on the ice and try out your schoolie techniques! Thanks for giving us a this important piece of our lives!!!!

I found out about this site last year, and I wish I had found out about a long time ago. It's an awsome site, I spend more time here than in front of the tv. I have learned alot since being here. I look forward to being with you guys for years to come. Keep up the great work.
