My buddy and I gave a 1.5 hr presentation/hands-on session to the Palmer Boy Scout Troop all about ice fishing in the Mat-su valley. Pretty good time, there were about 25 of them in all, some weren't reel keen on fishing, but for the most part, they all had good questions to ask, and we helped them all build their own burbot sets/fishing sticks so they can get out and go after some fish. So, if you see a young kid on the ice fishing with a 1x2....give him the scout salute!
Let's hope the temps drop a bit here in the next few days to get the lakes back in shape....
