It's not Ice Fishing, but this was the first fish my son ever caught. It's taken right as he, with a little help from dad, pulled it out of the water. Don't doubt the Mickey Mouse Fishing Pole!!!! His first sentence after he caught it was "Are you proud of me daddy?" ....special moment:)

My girl gets out with me every now & then.
Don't think I could get her out on the ice, though.

Walleye double-header with dear ol' Dad...

Another walleye...

Releasing a 25" brown trout that I caught on a little creek in Southern Alberta...

This spring, she announced that she wished to catch a sturgeon. On Fathers' Day, she got her butt out of bed at 3:30am to make the 3 hour plus drive with me.
We met up with my buddy, Dale & joined forum member 'rolling hillbilly' & his lady for a day of chasing dinosaurs.
The hillbilly hooked a fish & handed off his rod to my kid; she pulled in her first sturgeon.
My girl & Dale...

Later, the hillbilly hooked a bigger fish; again, he handed the rod off to my kid...

It took a while, but she landed this 54" sturgeon; 'rolling hillbilly' is holding the sturgeon...

Big ol' smile!

She finally hooked up on her own rod...

Working hard!

My son Maddox last year on Oneida Lake. Caught his first Walleye and we got into some jumbo perch. 4 Walleye and 14 Perch went home and we only fished for about 3 hours.
