white perch question
« on: Feb 13, 2011, 10:00 AM »
i use a multi tasking bass jig rod with 6-8 lb braid and no leader. ive caught yellow perch and blue gills on it but tried a spot for white perch and didnt get a single nibble. do they prefer diff bait and or lures. are they more line shy? i think i may have just been in the wrong spot. a buddy told me where they would be but i drilled a bunch of holes and jigged the entire area he said theyd be and got nothing.

I find white perch mostly as a bycatch; but once you find a school action can be hot. Seem to find 'em more shallow than deep (10-12')
