Helix 5: Flasher vs Sonar Mode

I've been using the Helix 5 for a while now and I love having the ability to flip between flasher and traditional sonar mode.

Thank you! I think this is the best video I've seen on the Helix 5 and ice fishing. Great camera angles, you can really see the correlation between what the sonar shows and the fish you're catching.
Kills me that my Humminbird ice transducer is backordered for at least 2 weeks!!

Fish, you know you can use the non chirp transducer on your model helix right? You just cant use the chirp transducer on a non chirp helix.

Yeah I'm considering that. Maybe if I can find one cheap enough I'll go that route temporarily.

I was in the same boat. I run G2 Helix but the chirps were backordered. Honestly the non-chirp works so well I can't see myself spending money on the chirp.

Thanks for the excellent video! It is by far the best video that I have seen for the Helix…or any sonar on the ice for that matter. Very professional and informative. I’ve been trying to decide on a new unit for the ice and kayak, and will probably go with the Helix.

Oh, beautiful country and fish! I could happily spend the rest of my days living in the house on the hill in the background.

I use this on my kayak as well. I designed a custom shuttle using RAM mounts to make it easy to move between the kayak and ice fishing as I do both thru the winter. You'll love the Helix 5. Its very versatile.
