I was wondering if anyone uses those little clasps. Im not sure what they are called (quick clasps maybe), but you find them on jigging rapala's (treble hook), and on buckshot spoons with dropper rigs. The have an eye on one end, and a small hook on the other.

Just wondering if anyone uses them on other jigs like genz worms etc? Not sure if they would effect the presentation?

You talking about the dropper rigs?  Buck shots have Mono attached and the Hali's have a chain for a dropper.

I think i the things you are talking about aredepending on what company you go through are either called snap hooks (Net craft)or Gemini clips (stamina) hope this helps.

I use something similar for swimming lures, spoons, etc. They don't work for panfish jigs that are supposed to be presented horizontally.

I would agree, they don't seem to work well with small teardrop style jigs, for panfish.
I would think they would be fine for med. to large size lures, spoons, and jigs.
I still fell that tieing straight on for icefishing is the best bet.  ;D Frozen fingers and all.  ;)

cableas also sells these and they come in three sizes.   And yes they do work good in the small size for tear drop jigs.  I have been using them for the past two seasons and they make lure changing fast and easy although they are very small and can be a pain to first tie on.

I just located a package I bought about 15 years ago. They're called  Al's Kwik-Klip snaps. They are (were) made by Al's Goldfish Lure Co. I'm gonna give them a try for ice soon, if we ever get any.
The more I fish, the more I  to fish, but the only  I need is BEER.

I have used them the last couple years and they works fine for Terdrop or really any vertical hanging jig.  They do NOT work for a horizontal presentation in my opinion!

Humm, this forum does some wired thing when hyperlinking...

http://www.peterson - outdoors.com/

http://www.peterson-outdoors.com/

Take out the spaces around the dash and the link gets edited out. Obviously someone here doesnt want us shopping there haha. I wish someone would clear things up for us...  :cough: mods?? :cough:

then we have cabelas...

http://www.cabelas.com

http://www.cabelas.com/home.jsp;jsessionid=0VUAS3K3DVVFNTQSNOLSCNOOCJVYQIWE?_requestid=47195

-see how the .com gets capitalized ".C0M", in  your browser the o gets changed to a 0 (zero), change it back to "o" and your in business.

what a mystery.
