making a ice fishing pole?

can anyone give me some tips on how to go about making an ice fishing rod from a fly rod i broke today. i have the last 2 1/2 feet of it but i'm not sure how or where to get a handle and how to assemble it.

Here's a link, you just slide the rod piece in place and glue it in.

I make most of my own rods out of broken fly rods.I pickup rod handles from cabelas bargain cave,with the screw down reel clamp/holder.I then take a hacksaw and cut about 4 to 5 inches of the handle to shorten it up.take the plastic cap from the end i just cut off and clean out the cork,i then start trimming up the cork on the end i just cut until that plastic cap fits back on snug.then im ready to glue the cap and rod onto/into the handle.I can get a pic of finished product if you wish.
