mounting IceLoks on old frabill ultralite

I just got an older model frabill ultralite(or solo) and I want to mount my IceLoks. It appears, though that rear plastic of the hut is still to wide to mount the Loks, even at the top. Any suggestions? Also, has anyone ever heard of a hut that floats-for safety purposes?
