For those of you with the Vexilar WIFI camera who haven't used it since last ice season, you might want to see what condition your battery is in. Yes, I know, you are supposed to charge your battery over the summer but I've found most units are pretty forgiving. Well, not with this WIFI camera. Plugged it in about 2 weeks ago and the charge light was green. Never a good sign. Checked with a buddy with the same unit, same situation. Moral of the story, check your battery if you have this unit. Might be dead if you didn't charge it over the summer and not the easiest battery to find since it is a 5ah 12v battery. Better to check now vs. when you get out on the ice. :(

try a better/different charger too. maybe jump it off your car battery to get back on it's feet first.

I would suggest a maintainer and just leave it on all summer. I use this one and my Vex Double Vision battery is on its 4th season. Turned it on the other day and it seems to be as strong as the day I bought it.
