Yup, lot less instigating, pot stirrin` troubleseekers. I dislike it when people jump into an informative thread and them and thier pals turn the thread into their own private message board. Not much of that in the off-season as these DHs are off to wherever DHs go this time of the year.Good natured folk tend to hang here during the "off season" . Y not? Our passion for icefishing is still here , we might as well be.

I haven't even gone to MFF this year.

I got to try trolling last weekend, and looking across the water the way it rippled it almost looked like ice starting if you squinted. When I said something about it, my buddy just rolled his eyes...."Am I going to listen to this all summer?"

I cant seem to get the feel of my open water rods yet.... feels weird after ice jigging for 4 months straight.

Im here till at least middle of may. Thats when the ice goes out!!!

Then well be hittin the salt 3rd week of may for some of these..

And when it gets really hot were going after some real....

I stop in a few times a week during the off season. As most have said it just a nice site to hang out in .

I'll check in a few times here and there but get very busy after ice out. I've brewed over 30 gallons of beer since ice out. Need to get ahead to cover softwater fishing and gardening season. Went into deer season with only 14 cases ahead and barely got through the winter with it. The plan is for 20 - 30 cases for that time this year.

I'll be checking but find the more I'm on the site the more anxious I get for first ice so I have to limit myself.

we just got 15cm of snow last night and looking out the window and seeing my two hardside shacks sitting on my lawn almost brings a tear to my eye. Oh well it is bear season though, another week or so and the baits should have a few bears coming in.

I hear ya Big Burk! My buddy has a nice shack in his driveway....everytime I'm there I go inside it. Just because lol. Apparently there are no fish under the gravel though. I tried.
