Might not be a bucket? Looks like a great idea... did you drill an ice bucket into the deep ice?

I did the midday shift for perch 10-3 today. Absolutely amazing weather and enough fish to keep me busy. Almost nobody out there today either, unreal.

How is the shore ice holding up?  I was hoping to get out on Friday maybe out of Williams beach?

The shore ice is good still.

The main ice was rock solid. The snow hadn’t even melted off and my holes were skimming over when I left.

I had the ol buzzard on the phone today.... he was catching lakers, talking about perch, picking on Releases cat, yelling at me because I work too much, said he talked to Trap, told me about yesterday’s adventures and was drinking his hot tea all at once!!! 😂 multi tasking while the rod next to him was begging to be picked up to set the hook to reel up another fish!!!😜 he is the most interesting man in the world!!!😎

Good work on the catches guys!!!!😎

It was beautiful out there today. I did the midday shift as well. I marked a ton of fish but could only manage 4 perch. Couple of them were hogs. Just couldn’t get them to go.

"Looked so nice he showed it twice". Looked like some Perch eyes are missing!

Why would anyone remove an eye from a perch?  ;D

The last 2 afternoons have been very good to me.  27 on Monday and 42 yesterday.  A lot of real big fish best of the year.  Weather was almost perfect.  Travel on the ice is excellent for everybody took the chains off for the year.  13 inches of real solid ice.  Went off the south shore not many fishing this week. Probably get out again this afternoon one more time before the weather take a turn for the worse.  Some real cold nights coming hope for a few more days next week.  Rain for tomorrow with snow and wind on Friday.  Have to see what develops.

Nice work on the perch guys...and the lakers Fred.  Doesn’t seem right ice fishing in this type of warm weather. But I’m not complaining    ;)
