I have christmas to take care of like everybody else, then the last week of Dec. off to deer camp, then according to accuweather, I think it will be ice time

This weekend is calling for highs near 50* with rain and wind ...gonna pretty much take care of what little ice we have...gonna get out tomorrow before it hits. However, the following weekend the bottom is supposed to drop out so get ready. Might be good everywhere by the 2nd weekend .

Currently 29*f on December 29th.. going from warm 54*f to cold 20 to 30*f is a big temp drop and seems to hold for the next week or two for below freezing temp...wich could be a good sign of what's to come.. as in hard water..

Here is some thing you guys are not going to want to hear.. 2 to 6 inches of snow coming January 19th saturday there goes the ice for a while.. but it may insulate what we have?? the weight may Crack the good ice so be carefull when gets here..

my weather app says 1-3" for my area on the 19th. it's over a week out, any thing can happen by then.

Its coming out of North east so any thing in land is 1-3 inches from our easten boarder of the state ..

Guess I was right today's the 19th?? Lols I am glad I warned every one?? Cause they can start there snow throws before it gets here.. a clogged carb would have ruined some one day. .. heart attacks shoveling snows not fun..

How's the ice doing with this snow?? From what I am reading is its going to be -4*f around here tonight..

16 here now, hit the snow forecast right on , if day we got 6-8”, seen a guy check ice at a public access near and was 3-4” slush on top. Lot of snow on ice, these winds will do little to take it off

With the temps were getting the slush should make thicker ice quick?? We're the water poured threw the cracks ..

It will but scattered spots, if the whole lake was slush, which it is under the snow that would be great but that’s not the case. I would say that lake has “slush” showing in about 20% of the surface
