goin up to houghton lake the first week in January...usually go right out in front of Lyman's for pike and walleye, in front of American Oaks for panfish. I heard from a couple places the ice is between 2-7" on Houghton, just wonderin if anyone's fished it recently that could tell me. Also, I got a new truck, and would like to take it out on the ice to avoid draggin my 200lb shanty a half mile like usual...when would that be safe?? about a foot?
