Just wondering if they are driving out yet.. I was is south Dakota last weekend.  Had 16" of good drivable ice

Your best bet is to call some resorts to see how much ice they have and if they are letting full size vehicles on their roads. I did a quick google search and saw a coule places saying around 15 inches or a little more and letting out 1/2 tons

Several resorts on the east side such as Hunters have suspended all travel except ATV or sled due to a major blow up.
As stated, call the resort you are planning to use and ask them.

Red Door is letting out 1/2 tons of you rent a shack through them. No public cars or trucks. Good 14 inches of ice
