Mille Lacs
« on: Dec 12, 2005, 01:35 AM »
Hi Guys, My brothers and I are from Central Wisconsin and have planned a quick trip to Mille Lacs in mid January. We will be staying in Onamia. We will only be able to fish 2 days and we don't know much about the lake. I'm not one to follow other fisherman around and punch holes around them, so if someone would be so kind as to give me an idea where to start, I would really appreciate it. I understand that everyone has their "hot spot" and I don't want that... just a general area where we can pick up on a few Perch and Walleyes. If you are willing to hook me up, you can email me at [email protected] Thank You, and have a great Christmas.

Hi Camo.

If you don't have one already, pick up a good map such as a King Tut's, etc.  They are very detailed and have the GPS coord's and "hot spots" on them.  Several of the MilleLacs resorts or the chamber of commerce have fishing reports posted as well.  The resort owners where you get on the lake will usually point you in the right direction too.  Good luck and post the pics when you get back!

Yep...that's down on that side of the lake.  Never been out of there myself, but they have a decent web site with the "Rockman's" report.
