Well daughter and I took the boat out today , however the boat launch and overflow parking was over full but for one handicapped trailer parking spot which we were able to use.  Lost count at 225. Empty trailers.  Massive pro bass tournament in progress thru Sunday. For such a shallow/narrow creek from the launch to the main lake was a nightmare trying to main control and fish in that creek for crappie’s ended up with 7 small bluegills, 1 LMB, and one channel catfish.  Boat handled well with the additional person and had it running smooth at 35MPH.

Thought we might have another nice day again tomorrow, but checking 10 day forecast guessers have all 10 days of rain.

See you in the morning, take care all

Good evening, 67 with a clear sky if these warmer temperature stick around will have to check that my AC units are working properly.  In the college campus protests news the president of Suny New Paltz has met with student group. he informed them the setting up of tents on campus grounds violates rules. So far no mention of any action being taken to remove the tents. One student interviewed said after they saw Tuesday's events at Columbia and other NYC area colleges felt they had to act fast. Supposedly last week an attempt was made to hold protest at Suny New Paltz students told at that time such action violated school policy and could not happen on campus disciplinary action threated against students who chose to ignore this statement. Suny New Paltz president has said he is working to resolve the protest and keep things peaceful on campus.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams defended actions taken by NYPD after they were contacted by a few city colleges asking for help . Part of problem is outside agitators getting involved with the students and causing issues. The mayor respects the right to protest but will not tolerate damage to school property and other acts of violence.

Ice Wanderer I also thought of Kent State with all that is going on at college campuses across NY. state and the nation.
Hunts2long may scout be looking good after the grooming.
Eddie I hope today's visit with the surgeon and your other appointments show everything is good and you can go for longer time periods between check-up visits.
OldSaior glad things are going well for you. best wished with this year's gardening.
Wallyworld sorry the striped kitty paid you a visit today. If heading out tomorrow may it be the best fishing day of this trip.

Thank you for the congratulations for Cornwall boy's varsity lacrosse team. like Eddie posted may Wednesday's victory be a spark and the boys have a strong finish with the remaining games in regular season.

keep safe, stay healthy. pray we do not see major outbreaks of violence at any of our nations colleges. I agree with Ice Wanderer we do not need another Kent State.

52* and some clouds.

Eddie, there were a few boats out yesterday, more than I thought, seeing it opened on a Wednesday, no reports.

Mr. C, congrats to Cornwall. I do see the news and can't believe what I am seeing. It is not going to end well.

WW, nice bass. I always found early Spring to be very "hit or miss" with the walleyes, MORE misses, but it is always nice to get out there.

Scout goes in for a grooming later this morning.

Have a good day and be well....h2l

Good Morning Everyone,
I missed the first one yesterday, so welcome to the 2nd day of May!!   ;D    A comfortable 55* start with some fog this am, high of 70 forecasted.

Steve…congrats to the Cornwall team, glad they had a good crowd and got a much needed boost of confidence with their high scoring performance!
Wally….maybe not what you were targeting, but way to go avoiding the skunk with some slammer Smallmouths!!  :flex: Hope you find a pile of those big walleyes eager to play today….best of luck out there and thanks for sharing the picture here with us!
OS…hope all is well, how’s the garden coming along?
FH4…closing in on the weekend, it’s Friday Eve already….
Jeff…will keep the fingers crossed for your son everything works out well for him!     I didn’t see Cappy’s report on the hummingbird’s arrival here, but I imagine they are similar to the salmon run up in Pulaski, lol. They usually run in Sept.-Oct. but some arrive sooner like in July, August.  ;D  I spent the better part of the day outside yesterday and kept a good eye on the feeders, no visitors, count remains at one.
H2…hear any good reports from the reservoir yesterday??
Dave…think we’re all ready for some cabin porn again, let the countdown begin, lol!!!!

Caught a couple small stocker trout the other day, can’t seem to find any of size though, lol. Might have to do a trip with my boys and see how it’s done.   ;D
Have a follow up on the MRI this am with my surgeon and a couple appointments next week. Hopefully that will be it for most of the summer…..Cawfee’s on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good evening trying to get adjusted to the recent increase in temperatures reached the low eighties here today.  Around 100 students at SUNY New Paltz held an anti Israel protest this afternoon.
I attended this afternoon's boy's varsity lacrosse game between Cornwall and Middletown high schools . Large crowd as it was Cornwall Youth Lacrosse day the kindergarten -second grade team had a short scrimmage at half time of the high school game. Lots of cheering. Good day for the high school team after last Friday's overtime loss to Washingtonville and losing yesterday to Highland. Today's game was against Middletown which is still trying to achieve their first victory of the season. Cornwall won the game 15 goals to 2 .  Cornwall changed it's goal keeper at start of third quarter Middletown scored both of it's goals against him . besides the goal keeper change other younger players (freshman. sophomores saw increased playing time. ) Hopefully the boy's build on this win and have a good game on Friday when they play against a team that is in their division/class size so a victory will help the chance of post season play depending on how Cornwall has does this season against other schools in it's division.
Hunts2long you may already know this students at Columbia Univ. had taken control of one of the campus buildings so college administration asked NYPD to come on campus and help take back control of the building. It has also been found among those arrested that people without a connection to Columbia are taking part in the protests and causing problems.
Ice Wanderer best wished for your son if he receives a permit from village of Lake George. I can see the current protests bringing back memories of the 1960's anti Viet-Nam war protests for you.  hopefully things can stay peaceful and protestors respect others with different opinion and their fellow students and college staff who are trying to go about normal college life.
Fish/hunt4ever this years does seem to be passing by quickly. best wished for your wife at this Saturday's expo.
Wallyworld congratulations on avoiding a visit from the striped kitty.
Oldsailor may things be good with you and the family.

Have a safe night everyone.
