[Video] Desert Storm Ice Fishing
« on: Oct 27, 2008, 10:02 AM »
Some more whitefish action from mid April on Green Bay. The rivers are open and running hard I set up out on the open bay just on the edge of the rivers current. Every half hour or so the current gets violent and I get the surges of dirty river water, soon as it clears the fish return in big numbers.

Great Video Scott, you were right in Suckerville there, had to dodge a couple just to get the whiteys.

How deep was it where you were fishing...it didn't look that deep...

Yeah the sucker run was on! I was fishing in about 10 fow. I did manage to also see a monster pike some nice walleyes and a trout or 2 go by, but could never get camera rolling quick enough let alone get one to look at lure for any lenght of time. To bad the ice went as the gamefish were just starting to come into the rivers finally on 15th.

Scott, what did you record to?  I've got a VS820, & I want to get a portable DVR for it, something smaller than a whole camera.  Did you just go to a video camera from the out jack, or did you get a DVR.  Any word on Marcum putting one out this year?

I loved the video.  I laughed when the sucker goes for the split shot.  Nice finish.

I have a 14 year old JVC 8mm cam corder that I use for capturing the vids that don't have to worry to much about.
